Society Update

Happy New Year!

The new year brings some exciting new changes in the society. We have a new website thanks to Simon, who did a wonderful job. This website will be a hub for finding information about ensembles, upcoming events and news about the society, it also has links to all our social media, our email list and contact information.

Thank you to everyone who took part in the Christmas Concert. All the ensembles did a fantastic job and we had really positive feedback. If you have any music left over from the event could you be so kind and return it, unless it's a photocopy or music off IMSLP.

Open Mic Nights

We will be continuing the Open Mic Nights this semester, please be aware we have removed the jam element of the evening, at moving all the equipment was proving to be a huge time consuming job! With regards to equipment we went and spent some society cash and bought a keyboard and a PA system, and yes both the keyboard and PA system will be used at the Open Mic Nights.

With the new website there's also a new sign up form for the Open Mic Night. We have a more secure simpler form and added an email confirmation of your sign up.

MUSSOC Cards

Although Simon is good at most things he really slipped up ordering the MUSSOC cards, so yes if your card has seen better days you can have it replaced. Just bring it along to the first Open Mic Night and replacement cards will be available.

We'll take a short break during exam season, but rehearsal schedules should be released in the first week of teaching. It just leaves us to say all the best with your exams and safe travels returning back to Newcastle.
